Review Of My Makeshift Front Porch Rain Tent

It was sprinkling out last evening, and it was too humid to sit inside and work. Also, I wanted to enjoy the nice cool breeze while it was sprinkling. Therefore, I made myself a computer tent out of a black plastic trash bag. As you can see it was a bit dark and cloudy.

<---That's me waving--taking a breather out from under the plastic.

Now I will give you a little peak inside. See? My laptop is stayed dry. ------------------------->>>

My laptop screen was bright enough, so I didn't even need any light. I was able to work as I normally would.

Now, I want to show you another overview of what it looks like from the outside:

<<--That's me under the covers. Oh and in case you're wondering, I'm not homeless-yet. LOL

Location: My front porch, Green Bay, WI

How Long I Stayed Out There: Until it started raining harder

Ideal For: Sprinkle to light rain

Not Ideal For: Moderate to heavy rains, light to heavy winds.

This experiment was mainly for the fun of it. I didn't plan on reporting it at first, then decided what the heck. Why not tell the world what I'm up to? Everyone else does.

At The Ladysmith Family Restaurant: This Potted Tree was the first Thing I Noticed

I just arrived at the Ladysmith Family Restaurant. I don't even think the staff that works here even knows I'm posting this right now. It will be live by the time I leave the parking lot.

Look for a more thorough review posted here. >>>

For now, you get the highlights. It was the first time I was in this restaurant in all the times I visited Ladysmith, Wisconsin. I was up there visiting my twin sisters, and this was one of my last stops before I went back home to see my brother play in a school talent show. I needed something good to eat for the drive.

This potted tree is the first thing I noticed:

It's too bad the bulletin board is behind it. Otherwise, it would look way cooler. The papers behind this beautiful potted representation of nature take away from the view.

Nonetheless, I really like this plant. It's like it's waving "hi" to me as I walk in the door.
How, I will continue my walk throughout the place to sit down.

The Ambiance

The seats are comfortable and the booth I sat in was relaxing. The decor is also nice. The wood-grain walls, strands of greens stretching from the beams, and cheerful walls provide a very homey look. I like the entire interior of this place except for the carpet floor and booth upholstery.

My only complaint is that it looks like they took an old Perkins building, threw a new sign on it, and re-branded it. On the other hand, the model for the building is not half-bad, as it did help me feel at home while I was there.

The Service

The hostess and waitress were both very friendly. They made sure I had coffee when I wanted it. My food also was served to me fresh and hot. They didn't rush me out of there and were quite amused by the fact that I spend most of my time on my iPhone while I was eating.
