I just got a lecture about how I should have more fun. Well, maybe if the people in my life would work more than once a week I could. Grow the eff up people!! I can't take it anymore! Pay some effing rent so I can have a day off once in awhile, and if you wanna spend money on your crap then so will I. NO ONE screws me over!!!

Review Of My Makeshift Front Porch Rain Tent

It was sprinkling out last evening, and it was too humid to sit inside and work. Also, I wanted to enjoy the nice cool breeze while it was sprinkling. Therefore, I made myself a computer tent out of a black plastic trash bag. As you can see it was a bit dark and cloudy.

My laptop screen was bright enough, so I didn't even need any light. I was able to work as I normally would.

How Long I Stayed Out There: Until it started raining harder

Ideal For: Sprinkle to light rain

Not Ideal For: Moderate to heavy rains, light to heavy winds.

This experiment was mainly for the fun of it. I didn't plan on reporting it at first, then decided what the heck. Why not tell the world what I'm up to? Everyone else does. 

It's True that You're as Old as You Feel But...

It's true that you're as old as you feel, but you also are only as mature as you really are. I don't know what anyone else thinks, but I find it extremely abnormal for a man who is almost 50 years old to stay up late partying five or six nights a week with his grown children and their friends. Who does that?? Seriously, I can't wait to get a place of my own.

What Do I Stand For (Reference to that Song and My Life)

"Oh Lord, I'm still not sure what I stand for oh
What do I stand for? What do I stand for?
Most nights, I don't know anymore..."

These lines from the song "Some Nights" by the group Fun are exactly what I was dealing with in the past 8 years or so. When I think about it, I hope God answers this band's prayer.

I'd love to have them as a Christian band if I get my own life straightened out again. I'm trying. I must admit I had been too wishy-washy the past few years especially. I guess it's time for me to pick a side-God or the Devil. I'll probably decide by...who's bigger??

Maybe that's what the members of this band are going through too. Who knows?

Right now I just feel like I'm just too old to be told what to do. It's my life. I should FINALLY just be able to do what I want. After all, I try to be good and try not to hurt anyone and if I ever have did something to offend someone I would apologize. Am I really that bad of a person??

I remember one time someone lent me $2.00 for gas (back when gas only cost less than that per gallon).  Then, I happened to not be thinking about it the next day when he asked, "You got any money?"

When he asked that, I answered, "No."

The day after that, I was on the phone with him and all of the sudden he said condescendingly, "I don't think I can trust you!"

I asked, "Why?"

"I asked you yesterday if you had any money, and you said you didn't. You didn't even remember that you said you would pay me back!"

I replied, "You could have just asked me if I had the $2.00 you lent me."

I knew this person for over two years, so I figured he would have given me some benefit of the doubt. Wouldn't he?

Why do people tell others on FB and Twitter that they are driving, eating, taking a dump, or masturbating? Some things are better left not known to the world. For one thing, maybe police are on your Twitter list and you could get in trouble for driving while using a cell phone. 

Can't you just wait even one minute?

I must have spent at least a third of my life depressed. That's depressing.

Whoever said money cannot buy happiness is right, but I sure am happy when I can pay my bills!

One time my dad said, “You're doing a lot better now.” I answered, “Yeah, it's only 'cause I got drunk a few times!”

People who are beautiful on the outside deserve love too, as long as they are lovely on the inside.

In reference to marriage someone said to me, “If you want romance I'm not your guy.” I thought to myself, “What does romance got to do with marriage!” 

I'm not sure what is worse-being in love with someone who is not in love with me or not being in love with someone who is in love with me.

If I cannot think of anything to journal about I just write random thoughts.

It's hard to harbor secrets about loved ones I cannot share the world, even if it would do the world good.

The fact that women fall in love with jerks rewards jerky behavior. Nice guys have it rough.

Dump that Jerk

Think about it: We spend at least a third of our lives working, and that's only when we work 8 hrs. 

I wonder why women are naturally conditioned to be in love with jerks.
