One Important Thing I Learned about Love Lately

One important thing I learned about love lately-that it doesn't require that I get what I want in the relationship all the time, or that the relationship fits my ideal childhood fantasy. I know, because I finally am with someone who seems to act like he wants me around and that's still not enough. If I hadn't gone though this experience I might never have realized that.

I cannot control what people say to me. but I have to admit it can be hard sometimes when people repeatedly say demeaning things to be over and over again. I often just want to say something even more mean back (and unfortunately more times that I am willing to admit have done so).

I am hoping others can be warned that trying to get even by hurting someone who has hurt you is not the best way to live. You may think you have won, but in the end you have lost because you have stooped to their level.

If someone needs a ride to someone's house and says 'it will be quick' do not trust that person. Everyone always visits longer than you would expect, even if all it was supposed to be is a quick run to drop something off or pick something up.

Unless you plan on staying all night just drop the person off and pick the person up later. Or tell the person to get his or her own car. Otherwise, you could be sitting their all night wishing you could leave.

I`m learning my lesson about watching what I say online.

A very important lesson learned: Trying to prevent from getting hurt is what causes the most hurt in the end. Because then all you are forever stuck on is what might have been.

I realize I get carried away sometimes.I truly do,however, hope at least some of my life questioning has helped others.
